It has been a little over two months since our shop doors closed to the public as our province was called into a state of Emergency.
During this hiatus, our shops have been hard at work making changes that will not only allow us to provide you with an enjoyable shopping experience, but also provide our customers, staff and volunteers with a safe retail and work environment.
We have been doing our best to adapt to the changes. As many of you know, we offered online shopping through Facebook and Instagram.
We have also been able to start accepting donations – but with new, “NO CONTACT” systems in place. If you haven’t seen our social media posts regarding the new process, this is how it works:
During designated donation periods, carts and bins will be provided for you to leave your donations on.
If you have any mobility concerns, you will “HONK” and our staff will remove donations from your trunk.
If you have an SUV or minivan without a trunk and are unable to remove the items yourself, we ask that you bring someone with you to help unload.
Unfortunately at this time we are unable to do in home pick-ups
Please check Facebook, Instagram or the website for our updated donation hours and
CONTINUE TO BRING US YOUR TREASURES!
As for retail – we are very excited to be opening our doors to the public this week!
As mentioned before, our staff have been very busy making changes to the stores that will help us better adhere to social distancing and the new safety norms.
To keep everyone safe – customers, employees and volunteers alike, we have taken the following steps:
In addition, we will also be limiting the number of people we can have in the store.
We ask for your cooperation and help by:
Please check Facebook, Instagram or the website for our updated store hours. We can’t wait to say hello!
Lastly, we would like to thank everyone for their continuing support and patience as we’ve been navigating through these unpredictable times.
All the best from MCC Ontario Thrift – we hope to see you soon!
